Separate the stages
Explain the aim, what happened, what was found and what the researchers concluded. Keeping these distinct makes revision more purposeful.
Evaluate one feature properly
Choose a relevant strength or limitation and explain its consequence. A label such as “unreliable” needs a reason linked to the study.
Apply the idea to a new example
Use the detail in a short scenario to decide which concept fits. Explain the link instead of repeating a definition.
Research methods is part of understanding evidence
Practise variables, sampling and interpreting results alongside the topics. Knowing how a claim was investigated helps you discuss how convincing it is.
Paper 1 includes memory, perception, development and methods. Paper 2 includes social influence, language and thought, brain and neuropsychology, and psychological problems.
Work on accurate knowledge and flexible explanations. A memorised response may not address a question that presents the idea in a different way.
Choose one concept or study, explain it without notes and test it with a short question. Use the feedback to decide what to revisit next.
