Hi, I'm Tom. I am an engineer who works as prototyping and in finance and for the last five years I've been tutoring maths privately and for companies. I also do freelance work for the likes of Pearson and the exam companies. I love helping students realise that maths doesn't have to be confusing or intimidating with the right explanations, with the right support. Every student can make real progress and build confidence. I work with students of all abilities, especially with neurodivergent learners, which is what I specialised in. Every student learns differently, so I try to tailor each lesson to suit the individual needs, learning styles and goals of those students. I tried really hard to break difficult topics down into simple manageable steps and encourage students to ask questions without worrying about making mistakes. My aim isn't just to help students pass exams, it's to help them truly understand maths and become confident independent learners. As an engineer I bring strong mathematical knowledge and real-world problem-solving skills to how I teach and I hope to every lesson. Over the years I've helped many students improve their understanding, boost their confidence and achieve their academic goals, which I think is really important.
