Can my child or another family member use my Klasu account?

Learn how to set up a linked student account on Klasu, give your child independent access to online lessons, and manage tutoring bookings, recordings and progress from your parent account.

Klasu makes it easy for parents and guardians to arrange online tutoring for their children, including when family members live in different households or locations.

We recommend creating a Linked Student Account for children who need to access lessons independently. This allows them to have their own login while you continue managing bookings and payments.

How can my child access their lessons?

If your child needs to join lessons from their own computer, such as at home or boarding school, you can invite them to create a linked student account.

With their own account, they can:

• View and join lessons assigned to them.

• Access their upcoming lesson schedule.

• Communicate with their tutors.

• Access available lesson recordings and notes.

To join a lesson, they simply log in, visit Upcoming Lessons and click Join Lesson. The button becomes available 10 minutes before the scheduled start time.

How do I create a linked student account?

Setting up a linked account is straightforward:

1. Log in to your Klasu dashboard.

2. Select My Profile, followed by Linked Accounts.

3. Click Invite a Student.

4. Enter your child's email address and send the invitation.

5. Your child will receive an email inviting them to create their own account.

Once linked, you can assign lessons to your child by selecting the three dots (⋯) next to a lesson in Upcoming Lessons, then clicking Add Student.

Assigned lessons will appear on both dashboards, allowing your child to join independently.

Please note: Lesson bookings, payments and other account management remain under the control of the original parent or guardian account.

What if another parent or guardian wants to follow their child's progress?

Klasu provides several ways to keep track of a student's learning, even when family members live in different locations.

The account holder can review completed lessons, watch available lesson recordings and access lesson notes.

Tutors can also complete optional Lesson Reports after each lesson. These provide feedback on what was covered, progress made and areas for further improvement.

An email notification is sent to the account holder whenever a tutor submits a Lesson Report.

For security, we recommend keeping your account login details private. If another parent or guardian needs access, please contact our support team to discuss the available arrangements.

Can I watch my child's lesson recordings?

Yes. Klasu automatically records lessons so students and their families can revisit the learning afterwards.

Recordings and lesson notes can be accessed through the Completed Lessons tab on the relevant dashboard.

They are normally available around 20 minutes after a lesson ends, although recordings can occasionally take approximately 30 minutes to appear.

Please note: Lesson recordings are available through the student and parent dashboards and are not accessible to tutors after the lesson.
