Help pupils prepare for 13+ entry to independent senior schools with structured, school-specific tuition. We are recruiting tutors familiar with relevant Common Entrance, school-written papers or scholarship assessments.
Support may cover English, mathematics, science or another entrance subject where you have suitable expertise. State which papers you teach; applicants do not need to offer every subject. Assessment content and timing differ between schools, so agree the target route with the family before planning lessons.
Use diagnostic questions to identify gaps, then build subject knowledge, written explanation and confident problem-solving. Provide constructive feedback on practice papers and, where relevant, help pupils discuss their interests and reasoning in an interview. Keep preparation realistic and avoid promises of admission or a scholarship.
This role is for the 13+ entrance stage. A school’s earlier pre-test may occur at a different age and should be named explicitly where offered, rather than assumed to be the same assessment. The separate 11+ and 7+/8+ vacancies cover their respective entry routes. Teachers and relevant subject specialists with admissions experience are especially welcome.
