Support students who study biology, chemistry and physics together as part of a combined science qualification. This role is for tutors with breadth across all three sciences, including GCSE combined awards and relevant international combined or double-award courses.
Help learners move between biological processes, chemical explanations and physical models without treating each lesson as an isolated topic. Build the mathematical skills shared across the course, including rearranging equations, interpreting graphs, working with units and using evidence to evaluate a conclusion.
Plan revision across the student’s actual specification and tier, identifying where gaps in one area affect another. Teach practical methods, scientific vocabulary and short or extended exam answers at an appropriate level. International course names and assessment structures differ, so state exactly which specifications you know.
We particularly welcome secondary science teachers who regularly teach beyond their main science specialism. Graduates and current degree students may apply where they can demonstrate sufficient breadth. This vacancy is specifically for combined awards, not a general all-levels science listing or a separate A-Level Biology, Chemistry or Physics course.
