About the Role

Klasu is actively seeking passionate, knowledgeable Physics tutors to join our growing online tutoring platform. We particularly welcome applications from qualified teachers holding Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent, and we ask that all tutors hold a valid Enhanced DBS certificate — so if you have one, you are exactly who we are looking for.

Whether you specialise in GCSE Physics, A-Level Physics, or university-level topics such as quantum mechanics, electromagnetism, thermodynamics, or astrophysics, there is strong, consistent demand for your expertise on Klasu.

How It Works

Every lesson takes place entirely within Klasu's built-in online classroom — a purpose-built, professional teaching environment featuring an interactive whiteboard, live two-way video and audio, screen sharing, and the ability to upload and share documents and files with your students. There is no software to install; both you and your student simply log in to the Klasu dashboard and join the lesson at the scheduled time. Students search for tutors, book sessions, and pay securely — all within the Klasu platform. You can also communicate with prospective and existing students through Klasu's secure in-platform messaging before and between lessons. A free 15-minute introductory call is available to help you and your student get acquainted before any paid sessions begin.

What You Will Earn

You set your own hourly rate. Physics tutors on Klasu typically charge between £20 and £60 per hour, depending on the level taught and their experience. A-Level and degree-level specialists with QTS or strong academic credentials regularly command rates at the higher end of this range.

What We Are Looking For

• Ideally, a qualified teacher (QTS or equivalent) with a strong Physics background
• An Enhanced DBS certificate (essential for working with young people)
• Degree-level knowledge of Physics or a closely related STEM discipline
• Experience teaching or tutoring Physics at GCSE, A-Level, or higher
• Excellent communication skills and a genuine enthusiasm for making Physics accessible
• Reliability, punctuality, and a professional approach to online teaching
