Maths levels we cover

About this role

Are you a passionate mathematician looking to inspire the next generation of number-crunchers or help adults finally conquer their fear of fractions? Klasu is actively recruiting experienced Maths tutors across the UK to join our growing online tutoring platform.

About the Role
As a Maths tutor on Klasu, you will deliver one-to-one or small-group lessons entirely through Klasu's built-in online classroom. A fully equipped teaching environment featuring an interactive whiteboard, live two-way video and audio, screen sharing, and the ability to upload and share documents and files. There is no software for you or your students to install; lessons are joined instantly from the Klasu dashboard at the scheduled time, making the experience seamless for everyone.

You can teach across any combination of levels: Primary (KS1 and KS2), GCSE, A-Level, undergraduate and postgraduate university Maths, adult numeracy and functional skills, or specialist preparation for entrance exams such as 11+, 13+, and Oxbridge admissions tests.

What You'll Earn
Maths tutors on Klasu typically charge between £20 and £60 per hour depending on the level they teach and their experience. Primary and KS1/KS2 tutors commonly set rates of £20-£35 per hour, while GCSE tutors typically charge £25-£45 per hour. A-Level and university-level Maths tutors can command £35-£60 or more per hour. You set your own rates, Klasu never dictates your pricing.

How Klasu Works for Tutors
Students search, book, and pay for lessons entirely within the Klasu platform, so you never have to chase invoices or manage payments manually. Before committing to paid lessons, students can arrange a free 15-minute introductory call with you through the platform, giving both parties the chance to ensure it's the right fit. All communication between tutors and students is handled through Klasu's secure in-platform messaging, keeping everything organised and professional in one place.

Ideal Candidate Profile
We welcome applications from qualified teachers, graduates, postgraduates, and subject specialists who have a strong academic background in Mathematics or a closely related discipline. You should be comfortable explaining abstract concepts clearly, adapting your teaching style to different learners, and motivating students who may find Maths challenging. Prior tutoring or teaching experience is highly desirable, though not always essential for exceptional candidates.
