Become an Online Chemistry Tutor with Klasu

Teach Chemistry online, choose your availability and support learners with your specialist knowledge.

Chemistry levels we cover

About this role

Make chemistry understandable by connecting the particles students cannot see with the reactions and measurements they can observe. We are recruiting online tutors for separate GCSE, iGCSE and A-Level Chemistry qualifications.

Support could include atomic structure, bonding, chemical changes, quantitative chemistry, rates, equilibrium and analysis. A-Level specialists should be comfortable with the physical, inorganic and organic topics in the specifications they offer, including multi-step calculations, mechanisms and interpretation of experimental evidence.

Your lessons should help students choose an appropriate method, show working clearly and explain why a reaction behaves as it does. Use questions and worked examples to uncover misunderstandings about moles, charges, energy and structure, then build independent problem-solving. Discuss practical methods and evaluation without suggesting that online tutoring replaces required laboratory experience.

We particularly welcome qualified chemistry teachers and graduates with strong curriculum knowledge. Current degree students with relevant expertise may also apply. Tell us your strongest levels, exam boards and teaching experience. This role covers Chemistry as a separate subject; cross-science combined-award support has its own vacancy.
